About Cancer Defeated!
These "Mean Green" Superfoods Can Help Cut Your Cancer Risk!
If you don't know that certain green superfoods are cancer fighters, I wouldn't be surprised. Many folks don't even know "green foods" exist. These nutrient-dense foods may be famililar to dedicated fans of alternative health, but they're not part of the mainstream American diet.
But ask just about anyone in Japan and they'll be able to tell you the names of at least two superfoods that provide high-quality nutrients and cancer protection.
This is because more than 5 million Japanese residents regularly use one of these nutrients, chlorella, for its nutritious and therapeutic effects!
Research shows this superfood protects you from decay and disease by helping your body detoxify harmful pollutants found in air, water, and foods as well as chemical pollutants lurking in almost every corner of the environment...
And studies show chlorella has powerful immune-boosting qualities to help kick cancer cells out of your life.
But chlorella is not alone in its ability to fight cancer. Recently the Japanese have begun to add the sea plant spirulina to foods.
This is because they know it's a superior source of protein, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and heart-healthy fatty acids.
They also know spirulina can boost your immune system to help prevent and treat cancers.
Together, chlorella and spirulina form a powerful shield to protect your body from damaging cancer cells! Here's how they work...
Chlorella Helps SUPERSIZE Your Serving Of Cancer-Fighting Nutrients!
Chlorella is a single-cell green algae that's packed with wholesome nutrients.
In Prescription for Dietary Wellness, Phyllis A. Balch says chlorella contains "the highest chlorophyll level per ounce of any plant, as well as protein (nearly 58 percent), carbohydrates, all of the B vitamins, vitamins C and E, amino acids (including all nine essential ones), enzymes and rare trace minerals."
For the record — chlorophyll spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E for cancer cells. In Herbal Medicine Healing Cancer, Dr. Donald Yance, Jr. says "chlorophyll acts as an antioxidant and may have medicinal benefits against cancer and immune problems."
Chlorella has the right stuff to boost immunity and help protect you from cancer. And scientific studies prove this powerful connection exists...
In one Japanese study, scientists placed lab mice on a chlorella regimen for ten days. Afterwards, they injected the mice with three types of cancer.
Researchers found that over 70 percent of the chlorella-strengthened mice did not develop cancer! What's more, ALL of the untreated mice died within 20 days!
Even more impressive is chlorella's immune-boosting effects on humans...
Dr. Yance, Jr. also reported on a Virginia-based study that treated 15 brain cancer patients with powdered and liquid chlorella. At times the nutrient was combined with standard chemotherapy and/or radiation.
The results? Chlorella appeared to make dramatic improvements to survival rates!
Patients suffering from the brain cancer glioblastoma normally have a two-year survival rate of about 10 percent. But the 15 patients who received chlorella enjoyed survival rates of 40 percent!
Other beneficial effects reported by chlorella users include:
As great as this sounds—chlorella's cancer-fighting nutrients are complemented perfectly by another valuable sea plant...
Spirulina Revs Up Your Body's Natural Cancer Assasins!
Spirulina is a blue-green algae that grows in both fresh water and sea water. According to Mike Adams, author of Superfoods for Optimum Health: Chlorella and Spirulina, this tiny plant "is simply the world's most digestible natural source of high quality protein."
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) say spirulina is a rich source of the bluish pigment phycocyanin. This protein is thought to give the algae its cancer-fighting power.
Although NIH won't go as far as endorsing spirulina's cancer-fighting potential, this government agency does note that the remedy has been used in traditional cancer prevention and treatment.1
Spirulina's cancer-killing ability was highlighted in a 2002 Japanese study. Here's what happened...
Researchers gave 12 adult males an oral hot water extract of spirulina. They measured the number and activity of the subjects' natural killer (NK) cells both before and after treatment.
At the end of the study, the scientists noticed:
The study authors concluded that spirulina must have a direct and persistent effect on NK cells. And animal studies have shown that spirulina stops the growth of oral cancer, too.
According to a 1995 study reported in Nutrition and Cancer, 45% of Indian patients who chewed tobacco reported a complete regression of pre-cancerous mouth lesions after receiving extracts of spirulina for twelve months!2
This was the first human study of spirulina as a cancer therapy. But more than 100 published scientific references help support the case for general health benefits of spirulina.
You'll be glad to know that both chlorella and spirulina come in capsule, tablet, and powder form. And you can find them—as separate supplements or in combination—in most natural food stores.
Taken together, these "mean green" superfoods are an awesome twosome that can help reverse aging... boost your immune system… and shield your body from deadly cancer cells.
