This is the first of two reports about the 2017 Cancer Control Convention and Doctors’ Symposium, held over Labor Day weekend at the Glendale Hilton Hotel in Glendale, California.
One of the most compelling speakers at the 2017 Cancer Control Society’s Convention and Doctors’ Symposium was William S. Eidelman, M.D., who spoke about “Cannabis and Cancer.”
Dr. Eidelman said, “If you’d have told me years ago that cannabis might cure cancer, I would’ve said, ‘You’re kidding.’”
But he found out in his clinical practice in Hollywood, California, that cannabis, also known as marijuana, can indeed cure cancer. Furthermore, he has found that “it works for just about every cancer.” Here’s what he told conference attendees. . .
60 is the New 40
(No longer reserved for the very rich)
Only a few years ago, scientists identified a major cause of aging – and how you can stop it or even reverse it to stay young.
This secret to living a longer, more vibrant life is already sleeping in your cells. You just have to shake it awake!
But like many new discoveries, the technology you need to preserve your cells’ telomeres started out being extremely expensive. It could easily cost $10,000 or more. Only Hollywood moguls and other members of the wealthy one percent could afford it.
Now that’s changed – the breakthrough is affordable. Just imagine. . .
If you’d like to stay young (or just slow down how fast you’re getting old!)…
This may be the most important message you’ve ever received.
The world’s most trusted news outlets are calling it the biggest “against all odds” medical story so far in the 21st century… Everyone raves about it…
…AARP Magazine, CNN, Reader’s Digest, Popular Science, Smithsonian Magazine, BBC News, Oprah Magazine, Reuters, Scientific American, GQ, L.A. Times, The Daily Mail, USA Today, Vanity Fair, The Boston Globe, Shape Magazine, Glamour and The New York Times…
Dr. Eidelman gave a brief history of how cannabis came to be used as a cancer treatment. In the 1830s a British researcher named William O’Shaughnessy went to India and studied the use of medicinal cannabis. He published a paper in 1850 that resulted in widespread use of medicinal cannabis to treat a variety of maladies in Europe and in the United States.
In the view of 19th century doctors, when a patient is suffering from an illness, the patient doesn’t feel good, which is a state known as “malaise.” Cannabis relieves malaise. By the early 20th century, every pharmaceutical house in America provided bottled cannabis.
The first federal drug law was passed in 1906. This law regulated heroin and cocaine by requiring a physician’s prescription. But cannabis wasn’t affected by the legislation.
In America cannabis was first used for cancer treatment not to cure it but to relieve the malaise and pain associated with the disease. Many cancer patients lose their appetite and enter a downward spiral as the body wastes away. But cannabis can help these patients regain their appetite.
Dr. Eidelman has found that ingesting highly concentrated cannabis oil, as well as applying it topically, can cure skin cancers. There are two kinds of cannabis oil: CBD oil, which isn’t psychoactive (i.e. mind-altering), and THC oil, which is. The psychoactive oil containing concentrated THC is the one that causes the patient to get “high.”
CBD doesn’t have any such effect. But Dr. Eidelman said that for many ailments “CBD oil alone does a great job.” This is a strong benefit for patients who prefer not to take a mind-altering drug.
But when it comes to cancer — especially for tough, stubborn cancers — Dr. Eidelman generally recommends a combination of super-concentrated THC and CBD oil. For melanoma – the most serious type of skin cancer — he likes the 60-40 ratio: 60 percent THC and 40 percent CBD.
According to Dr. Eidelman, some people have to “build up to it” by starting with a small amount and gradually increasing the dose. Patients sleep a lot, which he said is good for healing. Some use the THC at bedtime and switch to the CBD oil during the day so they’re not intoxicated while they’re awake.
Cannabis stops cancer in several ways
These are the effects of cannabis in cancer treatment, according to Dr. Eidelman:
- It triggers apoptosis, or natural cell death. In other words, it prompts cancer cells to commit suicide.
- It inhibits angiogenesis. Angiogenesis is the process whereby a tumor develops its own network of blood vessels. Cutting off angiogenesis helps starve the tumor to death.
- It inhibits metastasis. In other words, it helps prevent cancer from spreading.
- It relieves pain.
How effective is cannabis at curing cancer? Dr. Eidelman pointed out that conventional treatment has only a two percent success rate for Stage Four cancer patients, which means that 98 out of 100 are dead five years after their diagnosis. He stated, “High dose cannabis oil will far surpass this.”
Although statistical evidence of the effectiveness of cannabis hasn’t yet been compiled, there’s no shortage of stories of cannabis curing the toughest cancers. For example, Dr. Eidelman knows one patient who gave his mother cannabis for her brain cancer. It cured her! She’s not alone. . .
Remarkable real-life cases of cannabis treatment
In 2004 another patient, Rick, rubbed cannabis oil on his skin cancer, and the cancer fell off. Rick helped others with skin cancer by giving them cannabis oil for free, but medical authorities didn’t want to hear anything about it.
Dr. Eidelman showed a shocking photo of a patient with a nasty case of melanoma on her arm. This patient, Amy, didn’t want conventional treatment. Instead, she used concentrated cannabis oil (60 percent THC and 40 percent CBD), which she applied topically and internally. She also changed her eating plan and attitude. After six months she was completely cured.
She was so impressed with her cure that she studied to become a doctor of naturopathy at Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington. Bastyr is one of the nation’s top schools of naturopathy.
Another patient became a cannabis activist and landed in federal prison as a result. (Many states have legalized medicinal cannabis, but it’s still prohibited under federal law.) She was diagnosed with a case of metastatic breast cancer in 2013. When Dr. Eidelman first saw her, he thought to himself, “She’s toast. She’s history.” But he agreed to help her.
She took cannabis oil for three months, but it didn’t seem to be working. So she added chemo and continued taking the oil. This combination worked for her. She has been cancer free (“in remission”) for four years.
Dr. Eidelman said another woman used CBD oil with chemo, but without success. She switched to super concentrated THC oil, which put her in remission.
A 21-year-old man with an aggressive form of brain cancer enjoyed a dramatic reduction in just one month. Dr. Eidelman said he’s on his way to recovery.
A mountain man came to see Dr. Eidelman and told him his mother had cancer and was in Stage Four. After starting his mother on concentrated cannabis oil, she was cured in three months.
He came back a few months later and told Dr. Eidelman that he’d also given the oil to 17 other cancer patients, 16 of whom reversed their cancers. Cannabis didn’t work for the 17th patient, but might have done so if the patient had started taking the oil earlier.
In another instance, a CAT scan revealed that a man had a huge tumor in his chest. He started taking concentrated cannabis oil. When it came time for the man’s surgery, the surgeon couldn’t find any cancer!
Dr. Eidelman said many patients are making cannabis oil and giving it away. He called it a “grass” roots movement, a remark that drew a chuckle from his audience.
He told the story of a young lady named Sophie, who’s not one of his patients. Diagnosed with optic cancer, conventional doctors told her she’d go blind. They gave her no hope. With nothing to lose, she decided to try super-concentrated THC cannabis oil. She enjoyed a dramatic recovery and is now a healthy, functioning woman with unimpaired vision.
Dr. Eidelman said, “A wide variety of ailments have been helped by cannabis.” A lady who had undergone a failed back surgery is now jogging on the beach again. In high doses, cannabis has reportedly reversed diabetes. Dr. Eidelman has seen cannabis help schizophrenia, depression, autoimmune diseases, and epilepsy.
Dramatic results with DMSO
Another speaker, Archie Scott, spoke about a remedy that also dramatically helps a wide range of ailments: dimethyl sulfoxide, which is better known as DMSO.
Archie, as he likes to be called, is the author of The DMSO Handbook for Doctors. A gifted athlete, he obtained a college scholarship in track and field, but injured his knee. Later, he injured his other knee playing football. He became keenly interested in DMSO when he heard it could help treat athletic injuries.
Later, Archie was a consultant for a six-month research program using DMSO to treat brain-damaged children at Fairview State Hospital in Costa Mesa, California. The results were significant.
You may have heard of chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), which has been in the news lately in connection with football. When a National Football League player dies, sometimes an autopsy is performed.
These autopsies typically show significant brain damage caused by repeat concussions: the injured brain didn’t get enough time to heal before being injured again in another concussion. Archie is currently involved in treating brain damage in former football players.
One of the patients he worked with was a retired NFL star who had a problem with lack of focus. His thinking was scattered. Archie recommended injections of DMSO, B12, and one other substance. The patient didn’t receive the injections every day, but on the days when there was no injection he drank DMSO. The cure wasn’t instant, but after two-and-a-half years, he now has no sign of any brain damage whatsoever.
Although DMSO can be taken by mouth, Archie cautioned against using it on an empty stomach. He said, “Start with a half-teaspoon in juice, then go up to a teaspoon.” A small amount of DMSO causes no odor, but if you take enough to cause a garlic smell, Archie said the smell can be reduced by taking chlorophyll.
DMSO can have benefits for strokes that seem miraculous. Archie said DMSO was even able to help one lady who seemed to be permanently unconscious after a stroke. Not only did she awaken, but also her memory has been restored. The only residual effect of her stroke is a slight speech impediment.
Archie declared DMSO is “one of the most important products to relieve human suffering. Why is it so important? It’s a powerful anti-inflammatory with no side effect except the garlic smell. It’s a powerful free radical scavenger and vasodilator. And it helps carry nutrients and oxygen.” He also called DMSO “the best product for arthritis.”
DMSO has been used in cancer treatment since the 1960s. Another speaker, Dr. Gilberto Alvarez, M.D., used DMSO to cure a toddler from Pittsburgh who had an incurable, inoperable, “untreatable” tumor. In 1983 Pittsburgh doctors gave no hope to the parents of toddler Jeremy Snyder. He wasn’t a candidate for chemo or radiation, and his deadly tumor was inoperable. In desperation, they brought their son to the Tijuana clinic of Dr. Alvarez. Jeremy was on his deathbed.
Dr. Alvarez treated Jeremy with DMSO, laetrile, and high dose vitamin C. Not only did this little boy survive, but Jeremy grew up, graduated from college, and got married.
The Onnetsu Therapy
The first speaker at the Doctors’ Symposium, held the day after the Cancer Control Convention, was Dr. Kazuko Tatsumura, Ph.D., who spoke about “Onnetsu Meridian Therapy.”
It’s a well-established medical fact that heat in general and far infrared heat in particular are helpful in cancer treatment. That’s because cancer cells don’t handle heat very well. During a fever (whether natural or induced), cancer cells die by the millions. Deep-penetrating far infrared heat is particularly beneficial.
Dr. Tatsumura has seen specular results in cancer treatment using a hand-held device called Onnetsu. She tested this device on 40 cancer patients in Cuba. The patients suffered from all kinds of cancers. Thirty-eight of the 40 were cured in just three weeks, and their only treatment was Onnetsu Meridian Therapy: no drugs, no supplements, no radiation, no surgery.
Dr. Tatsumura explained that the proper use of this device, which requires some instruction, balances the autonomic nervous system. This is crucial because the nervous system of a cancer patient is typically out of balance because of chronic stress. Helping patients manage their stress and achieve a state of relaxation is the first stage of healing.
Her device also helps improve the flow of blood and qi. Qi — pronounced “chee” — is the electro-magnetic energy that should flow freely throughout the body along the acupressure meridians, which are the body’s highways of qi. In traditional Chinese medicine, stagnation of blood and qi is a cause of cancer.
The Onnetsu device has no side effects. It costs $1,530, and many patients buy their own. Dr. Tatsumura teaches patients how to use it.
This report on the Cancer Control Society Convention will be continued next week.
