The Virus That Vaporizes Cancer Cells—
Leaving Healthy Cells Untouched!

Here's another example of Big Pharma cashing in on Mother Nature's finest health boosting secrets. A Canadian drug company may soon score big with their souped-up version of a naturally occurring virus that destroys cancer cells. This is a case where the drug industry may be doing something useful.

Breast Cancer Breakthrough BANNED!
U.S. Government Blocks Release
of Doctor's Life-Saving Book

A mammoth discovery is wiping out most breast tumors better than anything seen yet in modern medicine. It makes surgery, radiation and chemotherapy look like something from the Dark Ages.

A Cornell-educated doctor followed more than 25 years of case studies and PROVED this treatment can cure breast cancer. With the discovery I'm going to tell you about, almost every woman makes it and without losing a breast to surgery or taking any toxic chemicals. Even those with late stage cancer!

You've got to include this treatment if you want to have any REAL hope of defeating breast cancer. Click here and keep reading. . .

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. was founded in 1998 to explore the cancer-fighting abilities of the Respiratory Enteric Orphan virus, commonly called the Reovirus.

The company has developed a proprietary version of the virus called Reolysin®. And it could mean one gigantic payday, considering this virus is powerful enough to kill cancer cells—and even stimulate your body's anti-cancer immune system.

So how does this virus manage to kill
ONLY cancer cells?

Reovirus is a common environmental virus that most folks are exposed to. Scientists say exposure to the virus will cause little more than a mild respiratory infection or mild diarrhea.

But although it may lack power to make you sick, the Reovirus has the power to blast cancer cells.

Reovirus has been shown to destroy many types of cancer cells—including breast, ovarian, lymphoid, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And best of all, studies prove the virus can eliminate cancer cells safety and effectively without harming normal cells.

The Reovirus is so effective at killing cancer cells because it can reproduce in cancer cells that have an activated Ras gene. Scientists have shown the Ras gene to be one of the most important defects leading to cancer.

In normal cells, the Ras gene is inactive—which prevents the Reovirus from reproducing. But the active Ras gene in cancer cells creates a barrage of uncontrolled growth signals.

Although the Reovirus by itself has a remarkable ability to kill cancer cells—the drug company insists that pairing it with chemotherapy drugs helps rev up its engines.

The drugs supposedly help open tumor cell walls—which gives the Reovirus easy access into a cell. Once inside, the virus is able to reproduce and eventually kill the cancer cell. Think of it as giving the cancer cell a nasty case of the flu.

When the cancer cell dies, it releases thousands of virus particles that infect surrounding cancer cells. Scientists believe this cycle of infection, reproduction and cell death repeats over and over until all tumor cells with an active Ras gene have been destroyed.

Sounds great in theory…

…but it's no secret that chemotherapy drugs are a dangerous form of treatment!

Remember, the Reovirus working alone is harmless. It's a natural cancer killer that targets and destroys abnormal cells.

But even if the virus's cancer-killing abilities are boosted by adding chemo drugs—what additional price might you pay?

The drug company is testing Reolysin together with two chemotherapy drugs, paclitaxel and carboplatin. Some common side effects associated with the drugs include:

1. Anemia

2. Constipation

3. Diarrhea

4. Hair loss

5. Hearing loss

6. Infections

7. Impotence

8. Muscle and joint pain

9. Nausea and vomiting

10. Numbness and tingling

11. Rashes and itching

Some of these symptoms are merely annoying. Others are far more serious. But the #1 concern for the pharmaceutical industry is their ability able to patent and profit drugs. As for being interested in protecting your health… not so much!

When will this new drug hit the market — if ever?

According to a company statement1, Oncolytics' clinical program on the new drug includes a variety of human trials, including a Phase III trial in head and neck cancers. The company previously got a green light for this trial through an agreement with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) under the Special Protocol Assessment (SPA) process.

What's a Phase III trial? Glad you asked. It's a randomized controlled trial on large groups of human patients—from 300 to 3,000 or more — dispersed in different locations. The goal is to assess a drug's effectiveness when compared with the current approved 'gold standard' treatment. The FDA won't okay the drug for consumers until it passes this important test.

Naturally these are some of the most expensive and time consuming studies to conduct. But Oncolytics has the good fortune of being backed by some cancer industry heavyweights with deep pockets.

For example, Oncolytics' Phase II drug studies underway in the U.S. were financially backed by none other than the National Cancer Institute, a branch of the National Institutes of Health.

Dr. Brad Thompson, President and CEO of Oncolytics, said "conducting this trial in both the U.S. and Europe allows us to access many of the physicians that have worked with Reolysin previously and, if the trial is successful, provides us with the basis for regulatory submissions in both the key American and European markets."

In previous mid-stage testing in Britain, the Reolylsin cancer cocktail including the chemo drugs paclitaxel and carboplatin demonstrated an overall response rate of 42% and a total clinical benefit rate of 74%.

"Response rate" generally means tumor shrinkage, not total remission. And you need to know there's some controversy about whether mere tumor shrinkage is worth anything at all.

I tend to think that reducing the size of the tumor is better than nothing, and this strategy can be useful if combined with other therapies that tackle the disease in more fundamental ways. My hope is that, if Reolysin wins approval, it can be taken up by alternative cancer doctors and used in a more constructive approach — one that includes detoxing and boosting the immune system.

So be on the lookout for more news about the cancer-killing Reovirus!

And then there's the cancer treatment that a Turkish doctor stumbled across when he was looking for a way to save his dog! It's available now (although you have to know where to look). I sent you this information in the last issue, but if you missed it, scroll down and take a look right now!
