One of the best do-it-yourself cancer treatments I know

One of the best do-it-yourself cancer treatments I know about undefined

Dr. Merrill Garnett, a New York dentist and biochemist, was determined to uncover a cancer treatment that would selectively target tumors while supporting and enhancing the health of the whole body.

His research centered on the signaling mechanism that tells normal cells to clump together to form organs and tissues, something that doesn't occur in cancer cells.

If he could find it, maybe he could correct this defect, allowing young cells to develop normally and existing cancer cells to self-destruct.

It took over 20 years and the testing of more than 20,000 compounds, but his resolve and perseverance finally paid off.

The result is a nutritional supplement called Poly-MVA. And – just by way of further introduction – it’s one of the first alternative cancer treatments I came across eleven years ago when I started this enterprise. And it remains one of the best and most important.

The Blood Pressure Lie Exposed...

If you've been told you have high blood pressure, you're probably scared to death.

It is called "the silent killer."

And, if that's not scary enough, you were probably told to start taking multiple blood pressure drugs immediately.

I'm Dr. Victor Marchione and I know how the system works. I've been fighting against it for you for almost 30 years. And, I know you don't want to be part of that group who's taking blood pressure medication for the rest of their lives.

So I'll let you in on a little secret...

You don’t have to take blood pressure drugs to lower your blood pressure.

Click here now to see my FREE video that blows the lid off the blood pressure lie and will show you 12 of the most effective, easiest to get and little known blood pressure solutions you can get without a prescription.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is I’m able to give people hope – real hope. Poly-MVA is one of the reasons. Here are the results of three cases from a study of 95 late-stage cancer patients conducted at the University of Toronto.

Shari Lieberman, PhD, CNS, FACN, wrote up three case studies on the use of Poly-MVA in 2008. Two patients had stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and one patient had stage 4 glioblastoma brain cancer.

The first patient was given -- at best -- one year to live, yet her lung cancer disappeared five months after starting on the supplement. Nearly three years later she remained in full remission.

Given only eight months to live, the second patient's condition stabilized two months after starting Poly-MVA. Two months further on, "her CT scan revealed complete resolution of the tumor. Her oncologist was shocked. In his clinical experience, he had not witnessed a remission of stage 4 NSCLC." Two years later she remained in remission.

After intensive treatment the brain tumor patient was not expected to live beyond a year. Nine months after he started taking Poly-MVA, his PET scan was clear. All pathology reports were negative for cancer. Three years later he remained cancer free.

Aerobic vs anaerobic metabolism

Dr. Merrill Garnett, who originated this marvelous treatment, began his studies with the work of Nobel Prize-winning scientist Otto Warburg. As you may know, Dr. Warburg is famous for having discovered that cancer cells use anaerobic (without oxygen) metabolism to generate energy.

Dr. Garnett wondered whether he could target this difference in cancer cells, but leave normal cells, that rely primarily on aerobic (with oxygen) metabolism, alone.

His research focused on the changes in cells that cause them to shift from aerobic to anaerobic metabolism. He believed that a particular enzyme might be missing in cancer cells, causing them to behave abnormally. If this enzyme could be replaced, it could be one answer to solving the cancer puzzle.

Rather than approaching the problem by way of biochemistry, Dr. Garnett studied the electrical charge characteristics of DNA and the way this energy communicates with other areas within and between cells. This gave rise to a new field called electrogenetics.

In particular, he looked at the part of the body's energy production called the electron transport chain, a series of protein complexes embedded in the membranes of the mitochondria - the energy factories of the cell. Electrons captured from donor molecules are transferred through these complexes to release energy.

He found, and was able to measure, an 'electrical genetic pulse' - a vibration that distinguished healthy from abnormal cells. Deviant cells like those in cancer were found to be less electrically charged. This movement of electrical energy through the cell and its DNA was the difference between health and disease.

Palladium lipoic complexes

After two decades he developed a nutritional complex (and several variants) which acts like an enzyme to shunt electrons into the mitochondria and DNA of cells that rely on anaerobic metabolism, to effectively target and 'electrocute' cancer cells.

The complex consists primarily of the metal palladium, chemically bonded with alpha-lipoic acid. This gives the complex a unique electronic property. It also includes vitamin B1, thiamine.

The excess energy provided by these palladium lipoic complexes (LAPd) cannot be accepted by cancer cells. Instead, in the low oxygen environment, they generate free radicals at the mitochondrial membrane which in turn triggers the release and activation of enzymes that turn on apoptosis (natural death of cancer cells).

Since healthy cells are richly oxygenated, LAPd is not toxic to them and in fact they benefit from the extra energy.

This is not the only hypothesis for how the palladium-lipoic complex works. An alternative proposition focuses on an enzyme called pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH).

A normal cell begins by generating a small amount of energy anaerobically before it goes on to generate the vast majority of its energy utilizing oxygen. PDH acts as the bridge between these two methods of energy production.

PDH is altered in cancer cells; the modification stops the bridge from forming between the anaerobic and aerobic phases. LAPd is thought to act on this enzyme to prevent anaerobic metabolism from becoming the cell’s primary energy source. By doing so, it inhibits growth and long-term survival of tumors.

The Poly-MVA formula

Poly-MVA is one variant of LAPd. It stands for "many minerals, vitamins and amino acids."

As well as palladium, alpha-lipoic acid and vitamin B1, the supplement also contains B2, B12, the amino acids acetylcysteine and formyl-methionine, and trace elements molybdenum, rhodium, and ruthenium.

Palladium is a rare metal that allows for the electrical transfer of electrons into DNA and mitochondria and for the restoration of functions that are missing in cancer cells.

Alpha-Lipoic Acid is a very powerful antioxidant, detoxifier and chelator of heavy metals. It is soluble in water and fat, has important roles in the mitochondria, and readily crosses cell membranes and the blood-brain barrier.

B vitamins have various roles in antioxidant and detoxification systems of the body and in energy production.

Formyl methionine is required to make the powerful antioxidant glutathione. It aids in liver detoxification and helps prevent DNA damage and promotes its repair.

N-acetylcysteine (NAC) is an antioxidant that also enhances the immune system.

Molybdenum is crucial in the regulation of the body's pH (acidity/alkalinity). It is needed to counter excessive acidity created by anaerobic metabolism and cancer cells.

Rhodium, and ruthenium are rare metals that have high corrosion resistance and act as catalyst for many chemical reactions.

Research evidence from the lab

LAPd was first shown to selectively eliminate cancer cells in mice in the early 1990s. The animals stopped dying from a fatal form of cancer.

The complex was later tested in mice injected with glioblastoma brain cancer cells. Once the tumors had grown to a certain size, the mice were divided into groups to test oral vs. intravenous LAPd at different doses, compared with placebo.

After four weeks, mice taking LAPd in any form or dosage had a significant 50% or more shrinkage of tumors compared to those receiving placebo.

In 2007, Poly-MVA was tested on lab cultures of eight different cancer cell lines. It was found to be effective in every one.

Poly-MVA tested on cancer patients

The first report of Poly-MVA tested in human patients was presented by Dr. Rudy Falk of the University of Toronto in 1994.

95 patients with nine different types of late-stage cancer received the nutritional supplement intravenously. About 85 of these patients had failed to respond to traditional treatments, although they continued to receive moderate amounts of chemotherapy.

Under normal circumstances, between two and six out of ten would have been expected to survive six months. However, nine months after starting Poly-MVA, nine out of ten patients in the study were still alive.

Earlier in this article I gave the case-study details for three of the patients in this study.

An enthusiast of Poly-MVA is integrative oncologist James W Forsythe MD., HMD of the Forsythe Cancer Care Center in Reno, Nevada. He includes this supplement as one part of his comprehensive approach to treating cancer.

He writes, "We have seen patients go into full remission with aggressive, stage IV cancers and we see continued positive responses in others with previously chemo-resistant cancer."

"Other benefits from Poly-MVA are a significantly improved quality of life and a substantial reduction in the number and severity of side effects from chemo and radiation therapies."

Another cancer center that includes Poly-MVA in its protocols is the Hope4Cancer Institute, Baja California, Mexico.

Benefits of Poly-MVA

The benefits of Poly-MVA are not limited to cancer. It has been used to prevent brain damage after stroke and heart damage following a heart attack. Autoimmune diseases including psoriasis, multiple sclerosis and lupus respond. It is also effective for endometriosis.

Research by Dr. Garnett and others suggest the supplement can:

  • Help the body produce energy
  • Aid in liver detoxification
  • Remove heavy metals
  • Prevent cell damage and promote cellular integrity
  • Reduce tissue damage caused by radiation
  • Act as a powerful antioxidant and protect DNA from free radical damage
  • Support neurotransmitter and nerve function
  • Support pH balance
  • Enhance the function of white blood cells

Poly-MVA also appears to be valuable as a cancer preventative. It comes in the form of a liquid and is available to purchase online. Dosage details and how to take it are available at the Poly-MVA website, www.polymva.com.

The first book we published, in 2005, featured Poly-MVA as one of the ten best alternative cancer treatments we knew of at that time. Despite the passage of years I would change very little in this little tome – which also includes the Gerson Therapy, hyperthermia, the mushroom remedy coriolus versicolor, DMSO, and Essiac. It’s called Natural Cancer Remedies that Work, and is still available.

Our last issue talked about another cancer treatment you absolutely must know about. Like Poly-MVA, it’s highly effective and you can do it yourself. And this one is free! If you missed the article, scroll down and read it now.

Doctors Are Now Recommending
This Do-It-Yourself Cancer Treatment

Mainstream doctors who treat cancer have a powerful arsenal of drugs at their command. But these drugs are more notable for their horrible side effects than for their effectiveness at treating cancer.

So, as an "add-on" to standard treatment, more and more oncologists and researchers are offering cancer patients a kind of do-it-yourself therapy to treat tumors. In many instances, this therapy makes chemotherapy more effective.

Besides that, the DIY therapy also helps ease the side effects of cancer drugs. And it costs nothing.

The “new” miracle therapy?

Exercise.

Keep reading to find out how this "alternative" is becoming mainstream. . .

Exposing the Hidden Danger
to Your Eyes

There's a huge threat to your eyesight. Without realizing it, we've been "starving" our eyes for decades.

And that's a real problem. When your eyesight starts to fail, suddenly you can't go to the grocery store... you can't get to the doctor if you have an emergency... and you're afraid to even be out after dark.

Truth is, there are simple ways to fight glare and eyestrain, see better at night, and drive with more confidence.

But there's something you need to know.

Your "regular" doctor and eye doctor don’t have time to keep up with the latest research.  They go to school to learn how to fit you for glasses and contacts, but have no way of preventing the damage and loss of eyesight that threatens your freedom.

Let me show you something that probably no doctor or optometrist ever has... it will explain a LOT about how your eyes work.

In my FREE Special Report, I'll show you the simple secrets I discovered for restoring your vision.

Click HERE and I'll show you a HUGE, untapped resource for your eyes that safely and naturally restores clear, effortless eyesight.

Shockingly effective

"Exercise oncology" is actually becoming a new medical specialty.

"Cancer patients would be shocked if they knew just how much of a benefit physical activity could have on their recovery and long term health, in some cases reducing their chances of having to go through the grueling ordeal of treatment all over again," says Ciaran Devane, former head of the MacMillan Cancer Support, a non-profit group in England that provides resources to people with cancer.

One of the biggest benefits of using exercise to treat cancer is that it can potentially keep the disease from coming back after treatment. As I’ve explained before, even when a doctor tells you that his drugs have wiped out all evident signs of your cancer, in many cases cancer cells continue to lurk in your body, ready to take root and start another tumor.

But regular physical activity can greatly reduce the chances of a cancer comeback.

A study at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston found that folks being treated for colon cancer shrank their risk of a recurrence of the cancer or dying from the cancer by up to 50 percent when they made exercise part of their treatment regimen.1

The Dana-Farber research indicated that colon cancer patients who exercised regularly enjoyed this extra cancer protection for up to three years after their surgery or chemotherapy treatments for stage III colon cancer.

"There is a growing body of evidence that there are things you can do in addition to chemotherapy for colon cancer survivors to reduce the likelihood that the disease will recur," says researcher Jeffrey Meyerhardt. "Until now, when doctors were asked by their patients whether they should exercise, some of them probably said it would be a good idea, but it wasn't a firm recommendation without data to support it."

In technical terms, the scientists found that exercising at a rate of at least 18 MET-hours per week was necessary to benefit from physical activity. The MET rating is a precise measurement that allows exercise physiologists to calculate how intense an activity is.

But what you need to know is that to exercise this much, you need to jog from three to four hours weekly or play tennis every other day or walk at a brisk pace for about an hour a day.

To some people that may sound like a lot of exercise. But consider the alternative – living under a greater threat that cancer will come back and you will have to endure more treatments. And exercise brings multiple additional benefits, including lower risk of dementia and general improvement in mood and health.

Easing the pain of chemotherapy

There’s another important benefit to combining exercise with chemotherapy no matter what kind of cancer you’re being treated for. Exercise reduces chemotherapy’s harsh side effects.

A study at the University of Rochester Wilmot Cancer Institute shows that exercise can ward off the torturous nerve pain (neuropathy) that chemotherapy often causes.2

The research, which involved more than 300 people, found that a relatively simple walking program, along with a resistance workout that entailed pulling on resistance-bands, reduced neuropathic symptoms in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy.

During the six-week study, people who exercised got relief from the tingling, numbness, burning sensations, shooting pains and exacerbated cold sensitivity that is linked to receiving chemotherapeutic agents. And the benefits were notably stronger for older patients.

While not every cancer patient getting chemotherapy suffers these problems, the Rochester researchers say that three of every five people with breast cancer or other solid tumors who are treated with platinoid-based chemotherapies, taxanes and vince alkaloids endure these side effects.

And right now there are no FDA-approved drugs that can treat or prevent chemotherapy-linked neuropathy.

Boost your energy level

In addition, one of the most frequent -- and distressing -- side effects of cancer treatment is overwhelming fatigue. According to the researchers at the University of Rochester, "Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is the most common and most debilitating side-effect reported by cancer survivors."3

The investigators also report that, to cancer patients, their fatigue is "more distressing and having a greater negative impact on their daily activities and QOL (quality of life) than other cancer-related side effects including vomiting, nausea, pain, and depression."

Virtually everyone who is treated for cancer suffers some degree of cancer-related fatigue. And up to four out of every five cancer patients find that the life-disrupting exhaustion continues ever after treatment ends.

Plus, if you undergo more than one kind of therapy -- for instance, combining surgery and radiation -- the resulting fatigue is usually even more severe.

So, while there are no drugs that can ease this persistent tiredness, aerobic exercise – even if it only consists of a daily walk – can lessen the fatigue as well as reduce other side effects.

Studies in Germany show that riding an exercise bike for thirty minutes five times a week, or walking about half an hour a day, not only re-energizes cancer patients, but also shrinks psychological distress, improves memory, makes for better social interactions with family and friends, increases life satisfaction and helps make lung function stronger.4

Lifting spirits by lifting weights

Moderate weight-lifting (resistance training) also helps eliminate or lessen the side effects of cancer treatment. A study in Canada showed that in men being treated for prostate cancer, working out with weights three times a week lifted their energy levels, improved their quality of life, and, as you’d expect, boosted their muscular strength.5

Research at the University of Alberta in Canada showed that, among women being treated with chemotherapy for breast cancer, resistance training two days a week lifted self-esteem and reduced tiredness as well as making the women stronger.6

The continuing research into the benefits of exercise on cancer treatment shows that if it were a drug, it would be considered a miracle drug. And it’s probably even more powerful as a strategy to prevent cancer in the first place.

A recent review study substantiates that exercise significantly reduces the risk of 13 types of cancer.7

  • Esophageal adenocarcinoma by 42 percent
  • Liver cancer by 27 percent
  • Lung cancer by 26 percent
  • Kidney cancer by 23 percent
  • Gastric cardia cancer by 22 percent
  • Endometrial cancer by 21 percent
  • Myeloid leukemia by 20 percent
  • Myeloma by 17 percent
  • Colon cancer by 16 percent lower risk
  • Head and neck cancer by 15 percent
  • Rectal cancer by 13 percent
  • Bladder cancer by 13 percent
  • Breast cancer by 10 percent

All of these benefits are the reason that Karen Mustian, a researcher at the University of Rochester in New York, brags: "Our program at the University of Rochester, which now includes more than a half-dozen researchers, is becoming a real powerhouse in exercise oncology."

It’s undeniable that research into the effects of exercise points to a powerful conclusion – at any age, exercise should be a central part of your lifestyle. It’s becoming just what the doctor (particularly the oncologist) ordered.

Best regards,
